Heavy Duty Business Manager (M/F/D) - Irvine, CA

LIQUI MOLY USA is seeking an experienced candidate to fill a new position on our sales team as Business Manager – Heavy Duty.  Join our team and you will collaborate with a team of people who are upbeat and think positively about the future and about life. 

As a part of our strategic growth, we are launching a new Heavy Duty business segment for commercial vehicles, fleet operations, and industrial applications. We are looking for a Business Manager – Heavy Duty to take ownership of this new segment from the ground up. 

As Business Manager – Heavy Duty, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing the business strategy for this new segment. You will be responsible for defining the market approach, building and expanding the product portfolio, identifying key partners, and driving revenue and market share growth. This is a foundational leadership role with the opportunity to shape the direction of the business segment and make a significant impact on the company’s future.

LIQUI MOLY is a global leading manufacturer of OE-type high-quality motor oils, additives, and other lubricant products.  Founded in 1957 with headquarters in Ulm, Germany we have supplied the demanding German marketplace with innovative, quality oil and additive products for decades. Our automotive, power sports/marine, and industrial markets came to the US in 1992. Our past 10 years we are fortunate to have significant sales growth.   

This opportunity provides a competitive salary range of $95,000 - 110,000, D.O.E., plus a performance bonus.  Included too, is travel expense reimbursement, a laptop computer, iPhone, basic internet expense, 401K plan, health insurance, HSA plan, paid vacation, and holidays.

* This position is a home office-based assignment with travel

Job Summary:

  • Develop and implement the go-to-market strategy for the Heavy Duty segment.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Work closely with product procurement, sourcing, and development to tailor solutions for heavy duty applications.
  • Build and manage sales pipeline and distribution network in cohesion with distribution team.
  • Drive P&L accountability and meet segment revenue goals and profitability targets.
  • Monitor KPIs and provide regular reporting to senior management.
  • Build and lead a cross-functional team as the segment grows. 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive, commercial vehicle, lubricants, or additives industry.
  • Deep understanding of the heavy-duty market, including fleet operations, commercial transport, agriculture, or industrial engines.
  • Strong business acumen with experience launching or scaling a business segment.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

Must haves:

  • Legally able to work in the USA with no restrictions.
  • Clear a background check.
  • Have a current valid driver license with a clean record.
  • Ability to use MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point)
