Business Development Manager (M/F/D) - Quick Lubes

LIQUI MOLY USA is seeking a candidate to fill a new position as a Business Development Manager – Quick Lubes. Join our team and you will work with people who think positively about the future and are upbeat about life. 

LIQUI MOLY is a leading manufacturer of OE-type high-quality motor oils, additives, and other lubricant products with headquarters located in Ulm, Germany. Since 1957 we have supplied the German marketplace with innovative quality oil and additive products for the automotive, powersports/marine, and industrial markets. In 1992 we began our sales effort in the United States and these past 12 years sales have grown significantly. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our expansion efforts in the Quick Lube sector. This is a strategic role with high visibility, offering the opportunity to directly impact the company’s growth trajectory. 

The Business Development Manager – Quick Lubes will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the quick lube and preventative maintenance segment. You will work closely with leadership, operations, and marketing, to drive growth in this division. 

This opportunity provides a competitive salary range of $95,000-105,000, D.O.E., plus a performance bonus. Also included are travel expense reimbursement, laptop computer, iPhone, 401K plan, health insurance, paid vacation, and holidays.

* This position is a home office-based assignment

Areas of activity:

  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities within the quick lube industry.
  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans aligned with company goals.
  • Build strong relationships with property owners, franchisees, and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, operations, accounting, etc.) to support the successful operations of the division.
  • Track industry trends to inform strategy.
  • Prepare and develop business cases and presentations to leadership and potential customers and partners.
  • Meet or exceed KPIs related to generation, conversions, and revenue growth within the division. 

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience business development, sales, or franchising, preferably in the automotive, quick lube, or retail service industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully sourcing and closing new business opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of the quick lube service model, customer base, and competitive landscape.
  • Familiarity with real estate site selection and leasing negotiations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Willingness to travel regionally/nationally as needed.
