Accounting Manager (M/F/D) - Irvine, CA

LIQUI MOLY USA is seeking a candidate to fill a new position as Accounting Manager. Join our team and you will work with people who think positively about the future and are upbeat about life. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented, strategic, and experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations. The Accounting Manager will oversee the daily activities of the accounting department, ensure accurate financial reporting, and help drive process improvements. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments. 

LIQUI MOLY is a leading manufacturer of OE-type high-quality motor oils, additives, and other lubricant products with headquarters located in Ulm, Germany. Since 1957 we have supplied the German marketplace with innovative quality oil and additive products for the automotive, powersports/marine, and industrial markets. In 1992 we began our sales effort in the United States and these past 10 years sales have grown significantly. 

To continue our successful growth, we continue to expand our teams. This opportunity provides a competitive salary range of $95,000-115,000, D.O.E. Also included are travel expense reimbursement, laptop computer, iPhone, 401K plan, health insurance, paid vacation, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manager the general accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, in accordance with GAAP.
  • Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadline and accuracy are met.
  • Maintain and ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and support annual audits and tax filings with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and leadership abilities.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and process automation tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
