Over the past six years, the graduate journalist has successfully promoted the company’s international web and social media presence as Content Strategy Lead. Now he succeeds the highly valued Dr. Peter Szarafinski, who died unexpectedly last year.

The 34-year-old with Iranian roots follows in big footsteps: “I look forward to my new role in the company a little awestruck but also with pleasure,” says Sina Ataei, describing his feelings about his new job at LIQUI MOLY. He is definitely well equipped to do so. His studies in journalism in Berlin offer a solid foundation for the position. He gained extensive experience in international media work with other large companies in Munich, Berlin and Ulm. Since 2016, the Ulm-based expert has been contributing his expertise very successfully to the lubricant specialist’s corporate communications. Most recently, he was responsible for the strategic orientation of all online activities there as Content Strategy Lead.  “I am delighted that we were able to recruit Sina Ataei for the vacant position of Head of Media Relations International. The reason for this replacement is a sad one. I can hardly imagine a better and more worthy successor as media representative of our company. Sina Ataei enjoys a high reputation in the company, knows us and our products and has a very high level of expertise in international media work. In addition, his great affinity for digital topics and his passion for the (motor) sports world, in which we are at home with our sponsorship, are further plus points. He will also successfully fulfill his new position conscientiously and with a great deal of diligence and dedication,” says Marco Esser, Head of Public Relations and Communications.

Sina Ataei is now the point of contact at the German medium-sized company for journalists outside of German-speaking countries. His position supplements the Head of Media Relations in the Germany, Austria and Switzerland region, which remains the responsibility of Tobias Gerstlauer. Both together comprise the press division within Corporate Communications at LIQUI MOLY.
