Save fuel and lubricant

#Commercial Vehicle

With the right oil, it’s easy. We'll show you how to do it.

Save fuel

Used in combination with additives, special low friction oils can significantly reduce internal engine friction. In certain circumstances, they can enable fuel savings of up to 3%!

Is it financially worthwhile for you to change oil? Calculate it for yourself now or ask your contact person. We will help you with a test under your own conditions and, of course, with the implementation if the results are successful.

Save lubricant

Every vehicle has a different mileage. Long-distance trucks, for example, have hardly any downtime all year round, whereas agricultural vehicles can expect a lot of downtime in the off-season. It goes without saying then that the change and service intervals for engine, hydraulic and transmission oils vary from vehicle to vehicle.

Manufacturers have to assume continuous operation at full load in the specifications for lubricant service intervals, which is why in many cases these are carried out too early. Unnecessary costs that could easily be saved.

A customer from the agricultural sector asked us to carry out a waste oil analysis on his New Holland TX 68 Plus combine harvester using the 10W-40 engine oil. The random samples were based on a mileage of 170, 250, 330 and 400 operating hours.

The results showed that the engine oil had not deteriorated over the course of time. Although the viscosities had decreased slightly, they still corresponded to the standard range for an XW-40 class, which means consistent lubrication performance even after more than 400 operating hours. The soot content of the samples also remained pretty much the same.

In this particular case, the used oil analysis made it possible to more than double the service interval from 200 to over 400 operating hours and thus halve the associated costs. If conditions remained the same, the engine oil could continue to be used even after more than 400 hours of operation.

Of course, this is an example of just one customer and unfortunately cannot be applied to every vehicle. Here too, the type of use, the vehicle itself and other conditions are all significant factors that influence the result. However, it makes it clear that cost savings are possible by optimizing the service intervals with the right engine oil. Would you like to know more?
