Don’t be afraid to repair glass

#Workshop

LIQUI MOLY offers an extensive package to support workshops in repairing windshields

In many a workshop, windshield repair ekes out a shadowy existence. However, this is where easy-to-generate sales await, which are becoming increasingly important for the workshop, also in view of the increasing number of low-maintenance electric vehicles. LIQUI MOLY offers an extensive package for this. “We want to make it as easy as possible for workshops to tap into this business area,” says Managing Director Günter Hiermaier.

For the first steps of a workshop in this area, there is a handy case for laminated glass repair in two versions. The small version is suitable for occasional work, particularly on cars. The larger version contains more and better tools – the right choice if you want to repair cracks and stone chips more often. Thanks to the high-quality and extremely low-viscosity repair resin, even the finest cracks are reliably filled. Even stone chip damage with fragmentation on the surface or with a heavily soiled impact point can be repaired. The original strength of the glass is restored in this way. When done correctly, the repair is barely visible afterwards.

Since the repair of stone chips is covered by the partially comprehensive insurance, many car owners do not have to pay a dime, so they do not have to be laboriously convinced of the necessity first.

If a workshop not only wants to repair stone chips, but also replace complete windows, LIQUI MOLY offers everything from chemicals (adhesives and primers), tools (separating cord, suction lifter, sausage caulking gun, seam scraper, etc.) as well as training (courses directly on site in the workshop). LIQUI MOLY also offers workshops software with which they can display all required parts and work units for specific vehicles. Personalized with your own letterhead and company logo, it takes just a few mouse clicks to create cost estimates that are recognized by leading insurance companies. These cost estimates can then be sent online to the insurance company together with the damage photos.

This software is web-based, so that the data is always up-to-date and the workshop does not have to worry about updates. “This allows the workshop to concentrate on what it does best: maintaining and repairing vehicles,” says Günter Hiermaier. “We are happy to take care of the paperwork.”
