LIQUI MOLY Resumes Business Operations in Syria
After several years of absence from Syria, the appointment marks an important step in LIQUI MOLY’s continued international expansion and long-term commitment to the Middle East region. “We are confident of the Syrian market and are proud that we will be supporting its future development. We will rebuild our presence with a strong and professional local partner to serve customers in the country”, said Marco Renz, Sales Director Middle East and Africa from LIQUI MOLY.
“After an extensive selection process, numerous evaluations, and careful analysis, the appointment of our new distribution partner marks the successful conclusion of a project that required thoughtful planning and close cooperation over the past year”, added LIQUI MOLY’s Export Area Manager Ragheed Gharzeddine, responsible for the Syrian market.
The signing of the distribution agreement with Sporty Engine Oil took place in Damascus during a business delegation visit of the German Near and Middle East Association (NUMOV), in which LIQUI MOLY was participating. The Deputy Head of the German Embassy and representatives of the Syrian-German Business Council were also present during the official partnership announcement.
“As part of the business delegation we also had the opportunity to meet several high-ranking government officials and ministers. Their vision for rebuilding the Syrian economy and creating a stable investment environment was both encouraging and promising for our future business activities in the country”, Marco Renz concluded.
