Oils for scooters in bright green
You can already notice the difference when filling: The two new Molygen 4T Scooter oils from LIQUI MOLY are not golden brown, but bright green. The eye-catching color signals particularly effective protection against wear. At Automechanika in Frankfurt, the German oil and additive specialist will be presenting its newly developed oils to trade visitors.
What is good for cars is also right and proper for scooters: Molygen motor oils by LIQUI MOLY. Friction modifiers provide an extra dose of protection. Strictly speaking, it is a whole system comprising several of these active ingredients. In a physical process, they form fur-like films which can separate the metal surfaces from each other by compensating for microscopically small unevenness. “This reduces friction in the engine and therefore fuel consumption as well,” says Oliver Kuhn, Deputy Head of the Laboratory at LIQUI MOLY. They also provide protection from wear and tear. Compared to conventional motor oil of the same quality, the friction modifiers reduce wear by up to 30 percent.
Scooters are frequently driven over short distances, especially in city traffic. “And this is precisely where the Molygen oils can show their strength. Because the engine does not warm up properly during short trips. Then the wear is at its highest,” explains Oliver Kuhn. This is where the extra protection by Molygen pays off. This protection increases the service life of the motor and reduces the risk of breakdowns and repairs.
The two Molygen Scooter oils for four-stroke engines with Variomatic, automatic shifting or dry clutch are available in the viscosities 5W-30 and 10W-40. It is highly likely that the new products will not only be eye-catching when filling in the oil, but also at Automechanika in Frankfurt. The world’s largest industry event will take place from 13 to 17 September. The German company LIQUI MOLY can be found at its regular spot in Hall 9.1.
