Bag-in-Box – the sustainable and smart packaging solution
Bag-in-box, what is that actually? Basically, it is a special packaging system for lubricants. The outside of the Bag-in-Box packaging consists of a coated, water-resistant cardboard box. It contains a fully recyclable plastic bag, which requires 90 percent less plastic to produce than a classic 20-liter canister.
Advantages of the packaging system
- Less CO2 is produced as soon as the empty containers are delivered to production. The volume of the flat cartons and plastic bags is much smaller than that of plastic canisters, which optimizes logistics and protects the environment.
- Once the goods have been produced, they can be stacked better and higher because the volume is better utilized. The carton dimensions are optimized for pallets, so that they now hold 36 instead of 24 20 l containers. This saves space in the warehouse, truck and container.
- The resulting waste not only takes up considerably less space, but can also be recycled more easily with 90 percent less plastic packaging.
- Disposal is just as easy as with all plastic containers. Here, too, free disposal is possible via the Container Recycling Association of the Petroleum Industry (GVÖ).
- Our bag-in-box cartons fit perfectly into our tried-and-tested oil cabinet. This means that you can continue to use your organization and placement systems from us and do not need any alternative equipment or storage concepts.
