Handball World Cup in Germany with LIQUI MOLY

Ulm-based motor oil manufacturer is Official Partner of the IHF Men’s World Championship 2027

Following this year’s European Championship, LIQUI MOLY continues its commitment to international handball in 2027. The German oil andadditive specialist is an Official Partnerof the 30th Men’s IHF World Championship. The competition will be held in Germany from mid-January to the end of next year. “Handball enjoys great popularity around the world. A world championship, inparticular, draws fans to their screens. That’s why we’re committed again in 2027,”says LIQUI MOLY Managing Director SalvatoreConiglio.

Handball has been part of LIQUI MOLY’s promotional activities since 2019. As in previous tournaments, the blue-red logo will be visible almost everywhere – this time with the new brand claim ‘FOR THE DRIVERS’. During the 112 World Championship matches, it will take the halls in Munich, Stuttgart, Kiel, Magdeburg, Hanover and Cologne by storm. The company’s goal as an Official IHF Men’s World Championship 2027 Partner is clearly outlined: “We are bringing our new brand identity closer to the hundreds of thousands of spectators on site and also many millions of sports fans in the media,” says Coniglio.

LIQUI MOLY has traditionally been strongly represented in motorsport, currently in Formula 1, in Moto2 and with the BLACK FALCON team in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) as well as during the legendary 24-hour race in the Eifel region. “Apart from testing, the engines are mainly at rest in winter. And because we want to appeal to sports enthusiasts beyond racing and further increase awareness of the LIQUI MOLY brand, we are also relying on other events such as the World Handball Championship,” says the Managing Director of the manufacturer of engine oils, additives and car care products. The company was fully satisfied with the results of previous partnerships and is therefore also committed to the upcoming title matches in its home market. “The internationality of a world championship and the associated global media presence is a decisive criterion - after all, LIQUI MOLY is a brand whose products can be purchased in 150 countries,” emphasizes Coniglio. The strategy is simple: More brand awareness leads to more sales. “Teams from all five continents play the World Championship, with the wildcard for Australia,” adds Coniglio.

The World Championship starts in Munich on January 13. The final will take place in Cologne on January 31. “What happens on the pitch is perfectly in line with our company’s values – excellence, respect and integrity. The focus is on team spirit and fair play, as well as an unwavering determination to compete at the very top, whilst showing respect for the opponent’s performance,” says the LIQUI MOLY Managing Director.
