From E20 to E100 fuel – With LIQUI MOLY, drivers are in safe hands
E10 in Europe and the US, E20 in India, E100 in Brazil: The transition to bio fuels is processing at different paces in different countries worldwide. Modern vehicles are likely to be compliant with the different gasoline variants containing ethanol. In case of Brazil there also exist special vehicles with flex fuel engines that can be operated with gasoline, pure ethanol or various mixtures. But especially older vehicles that aren’t compatible may face problems with high bio-content in the fuel. Complete Fuel System Cleaner Ethanol, a new product from LIQUI MOLY, can help here.
An increased content of ethanol in fuels can result in various engine problems. Ethanol absorbs moisture, which can lead to corrosion of engine parts and hardening of seals and gaskets causing leakages, thus impacting engine performance. The combustion process is also affected: Deposits in the fuel system, for example on the injectors, can also be formed with fuels with an increased ethanol content. Another problem may occur if the vehicle is frequently driven over short distances or the injectors are affected by deposits. Ethanol can become even more enriched in the motor oil than with conventional gasoline. This causes oil dilution with the consequence of insufficient lubrication and breakdown of the lubricating film. And that can damage the engine in short time or eventually in the long run.
These issues are reduced by LIQUI MOLY’s new Complete Fuel System Cleaner Ethanol. It has been specifically developed to keep the engine clean: It prevent deposits in the fuel system and on the intake valves. The additive offers a highly effective corrosion protection in the fuel system. Also, the motor oil is being protected against the negative effects of ethanol operation as it prevents deposits in and on the injector, thus preventing injector dropping or insufficient atomization of the fuel.
The new additive is suitable for vehicles using E20 to E100 fuel.
