LIQUI MOLY USA is seeking a candidate to fill a new position in our operations team as an Accounting Assistant. This role is hybrid within the Irvine, CA area. Join our team and you will work with people who think positively about the future and are upbeat about life.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to join our team. This role will support day-to-day accounting activities with a primary focus on the Accounts Payable (AP) process, while working collaboratively across departments to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient financial operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and skilled at communicating and collaborating with colleagues across different functions of the company.

LIQUI MOLY is a leading manufacturer of OE-type high-quality motor oils, additives, and other lubricant products with headquarters located in Ulm, Germany. Since 1957 we have supplied the German marketplace with innovative quality oil and additive products for the automotive, powersports/marine, and industrial markets. In 1992 we began our sales effort in the United States and these past 10 years sales have grown significantly.

To continue our successful growth, we continue to expand our teams. This opportunity provides an hourly range of $22-28 per hour D.O.E. Also included are travel expense reimbursement, business iPhone, laptop computer, 401K plan, health insurance, disability insurance, paid vacation, and holidays.

* This position is a hybrid office-based assignment

Requirements:

  • Support the full Accounts Payable process, including invoice review, coding, data entry, approvals, and payment preparation.
  • Review invoices and support documentation for accuracy and adherence to policy.
  • Assist with vendor account maintenance, statement reconciliation, and resolution of invoice or payment discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and documentation.
  • Assist with account reconciliations, reporting, and other routine accounting activities.
  • Collaborate with departments across the organization to obtain information, resolve discrepancies, and support efficient accounting processes in both AP and AR.
  • Respond professionally and promptly to internal and external accounting-related inquiries.
  • Follow established accounting procedures and internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Assist Accounting Team as needed and directed by management discretion.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of accounting or related experience, with an understanding of Accounts Payable processes.
  • Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with accounting or ERP software is preferred.
  • Ability to handle financial information with accuracy, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proactive, dependable, and willing to learn and take on new responsibilities.
  • Legally able to work in the USA with no restrictions.
  • Clear a background check.
