E20 fuel in India – LIQUI MOLY offers a solution for drivers
India has recently introduced E20 fuel for reasons of sustainability and energy independence. Modern vehicles are likely to be compliant with the petrol variant. But especially older vehicles that aren’t compatible may face problems. E20 additive from LIQUI MOLY can help here.
E20 fuel contains up to 20 percent of Ethanol. This increased organic content can result in various engine problems. Ethanol absorbs moisture, which can lead to corrosion of engine parts and hardening of seals and gaskets causing leakages, thus impacting engine performance. The combustion process is also affected: Deposits in the fuel system, for example on the injectors, can also form with E20. Another problem may occur if the vehicle is frequently driven over short distances or the injectors are dirty. Ethanol can become even more enriched in the motor oil than with conventional petrol. This leads to poor lubricity of the oil. And that can damage the engine in the long run.
These issues are compensated for by LIQUI MOLY’s E20 Additive. It has been specifically developed to equalize performance loss due to increased ethanol content in the fuel. It improves the combustion process and fuel efficiency. The new additive offers a highly effective corrosion protection. The injection system is protected against water content in the fuel; the antioxidant effect of the product stabilizes the fuel.
