Chain oils with improved formulation
Just in time for Eurobike 2025 in Frankfurt am Main, LIQUI MOLY is presenting its revised chain oils “Bike Chain Oil Wet Lube” and “Bike Chain Oil Dry Lube” – now with an optimized formula and without the solid lubricant PTFE. Users can enjoy improved and smoother running of the bicycle chain.
Whether in sporty use on a racing bike or gravel bike, with an e-bike on the way to work or in leisure time – with increasing mileage, the importance of regular chain maintenance also increases. Just in time for Eurobike, LIQUI MOLY is presenting its tried-and-tested chain oils “Bike Chain Oil Wet Lube” and “Bike Chain Oil Dry Lube” with an optimized, environmentally friendly formula. The leading international trade fair for the bicycle and mobility segment offers the ideal setting for introducing this innovation and underlining the innovative strength of the Ulm-based lubricant specialist.

With immediate effect, both products do not require the previously used solid lubricant PTFE, which is classified as microplastic. Instead, the Ulm-based company relies on an organic molybdenum complex. The result: less friction, noticeably smoother chain running – and at the same time an environmentally friendly formulation.
The new formula is available in two variants: Wet Lube, specifically for wet, dirty conditions, and Dry Lube, which is particularly effective in dry, dusty conditions. Both oils impress with their strong adhesion, excellent creep and long-lasting effectiveness – even under high loads.
With the revised formulation, LIQUI MOLY is responding to new environmental requirements and the growing expectations of the bicycle community for sustainable, high-performance and top-quality care products in the bicycle sector.
