Regional Sales Manager (M/F/D) - San Diego, CA

LIQUI MOLY is a leading manufacturer of OE type high quality motor oils, additives and other lubricant products with our headquarters located in Ulm, Germany. Since 1957 we have supplied the German market place plus over 120 countries with innovative quality oils and additive products for the automotive, motorbike, marine and industrial markets.


In early 1992 we began our sales effort in the United States. Within the past 12 years sales have increased significantly in the US and Canada and we need more team members with solid skill sets to join our team and continue the success.

LIQUI MOLY USA currently seeks a qualified candidate for the San Diego/San Diego County region. Join our team and you will work with people who think positive about the future and are upbeat about life. In this position, you will take an active part in the successful growth of our company. Throughout this region, you will be responsible for sales growth, marketing efforts and business expansion. With the opportunity to work independently, you are responsible for your own success.

This job provides a competitive salary D.O.E., plus bonus. Also included is travel expense reimbursement, car allowance, fuel, laptop, cell phone, standard internet, 401K, health insurance, HSA account, paid vacation and holidays.

**This position is a home office-based assignment with expectations of employee living in a San Diego county areaaddress.

Your area of activity:

  • Develop sales strategies and increase the overall sales of LIQUI MOLY products
  • Build new business relationships with business owners in the automotive aftermarket with distributors,service shops, fleets.
  • Manage current customer partnerships with all channel levels and add new accounts.
  • Record customer data into a CRM tool on a daily basis to then submit weekly reports
  • Facilitate product and sales training for members and their dealer customers
  • Primary territory: San Diego CA Metro and San Diego County

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in field sales management (preferably in lubricant products or automotive aftermarket)
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with an upbeat selling style and energetic attitude
  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset in developing accounts in a consultative manner
  • Ability to influence/negotiate through excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Efficient time management and exceptional organizational skills are required
  • Must have strong presentation abilities to customers and to group audiences
  • Have social media marketing skills or capability and desire to learn
  • Be able to periodically work weekend industry events. Occasional overnight travel.
  • Must reside within the San Diego Metro/County region.

Must haves:

  • Team player, trustworthy, reliable, respectful, confident, strong ethics-(professional/ personal)
  • Ability to use MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point)
  • Valid and clean driver’s license record
  • Pass a back ground check
