Superlatives to start off the racing year

The LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour is now bigger and more challenging than ever

The weekend of 31 January to 2 February will make the heart of every motorsport fan beat much faster.

As the first race of the Intercontinental GT Challenge this year, the LIQUI MOLY Bathurst 12 Hour will open with a starting field of 40 cars and the largest GT3 field since the event was first held in Australia.

34 vehicles from eleven different manufacturers, a breathtaking backdrop with the legendary Mount Panorama Circuit and live broadcasting all over the world: These are the ingredients that make this endurance race one of the first major highlights in LIQUI MOLY’s varied sponsorship calendar.

Last year, the Porsche team Earl Bamber Racing won a spectacular race. You can see the highlights in the video below.

Says LIQUI MOLY Marketing Director Peter Baumann: “We are looking forward immensely to this race, where excitement and racing in its purest form are guaranteed every year. Nevertheless, our thoughts are also with the people affected by the catastrophic bush fires in Australia and we think it is great that the organizers, together with the Lions Club of Australia, are collecting donations and thus helping to cope with this natural disaster.”

The official website www.bathurst12hour.com.au offers all the information, news and broadcast times for the race.
