LIQUI MOLY in three TCR series on three continents
Starting signal for the TCR Asia
The season of the TCR Asia touring car series begins in Malaysia at the weekend. At the end of March the drivers of TCR Germany head out on their quest for points and TCR Middle East is entering the home stretch.
The races at the weekend in Sepang, Malaysia mark the beginning of the Asia racing series. After the victory in the driver and team rankings in the past season LIQUI MOLY Team Engstler is doing everything to repeat those successes. Kantadhee Kusiri from Thailand and Diego Moran from Ecuador will be driving the two TCR versions of the VW Golf 7. Alongside Malaysia, Thailand and China are also stages for TCR Asia.
Final of TCR Middle East in Bahrain
At the same weekend the final of TCR Middle East is taking place in Bahrain. Luca Engstler, son of touring car icon and team owner Franz Engstler, is currently in second place in the driver rankings and will attempt to claim the title at the showdown in the desert. Team colleague Stefan Goede is in fifth place.
From end of April: TCR Germany
At the end of April we go from the heat of the Middle East to the temperate latitudes of eastern Germany. There the German driver duo are starting in TCR Germany, which begins in Oschersleben. Also in the driver's seat for LIQUI MOLY Team Engstler will be Florian Thoma from Switzerland and American Jason Wolfe, as well as Danish brothers Roland and Kristian Poulsen. Kristian Poulsen returns after leaving the Engstler team in 2011. Back then he formed a race partnership with Franz Engstler in the WTCC and won the Independent Trophy. Kristian Poulsen wants to tap into that successful period.
The locations of TCR Germany are Oschersleben, as well as the Nürburg, Sachsen and Hockenheimrings. Plus the teams will be competing in a racing weekend in Spielberg (Austria) and in Zandvoort (Netherlands).
LIQUI MOLY Team Engstler is competing in every TCR series in a special racing version of the VW Golf 7.
