They are practical, but it’s hard to keep the dirt off. Touchscreens are used everywhere: on smartphones, tablets and navigation systems. And they get to be covered in fingerprints in no time at all. There are many cleaning agents available. Vehicle chemistry specialist LIQUI MOLY has developed a display cleaning fluid that is tailor-made for this sensitive technology.
“Often, agents that are too harsh are used to clean the surfaces of smartphones, tablets or screens,” says Dieter Otto. He is an expert for care products at LIQUI MOLY. Special cleaners are required for high-tech surfaces. “That’s why we developed our Display Cleaner,” says the care specialist.
This is a foam with an innovative microfluid technology to remove the light dirt typically encountered here, such as fingerprints, so that the surface is streak-free and well protected. In addition to the screens on smartphones, tablets, notebooks, PCs and TVs, the cleaner is also suitable for eyeglasses, camera lenses, helmet visors and most non-absorbent surfaces. “And because you use many of these devices on the go, we chose a small bottle that is just as easy to take with you,” smiles Dieter Otto. Because no propellant gases are used, the bottle is leak-proof even at elevated temperatures in the car.
Correct application is decisive for the success of cleaning. “Do not shake the bottle before use, but always hold it upside down and apply the foam directly to the surface to be cleaned or use a clean microfiber cloth,” explains the LIQUI MOLY expert. An exposure time of 5 to 30 seconds is needed, depending on the degree of soiling. Then wipe off the loosened dirt with a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth.
Display Cleaner is available in a 100 ml bottle.
