Head of Sales (M/F/D)

Your area of activity:

The Head of Sales must be commercially orientated with strong business and market knowledge to understand the challenges and opportunities created. The Head of Sales must possess excellent influencing and powerful communication skills with the ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the strategic business drivers as well as the communication into the sales team.

Key accountabilities

  • Working with customers and key stakeholders to drive and deliver the firm’s brand strategy focused in specific key markets including the Factor Trade, Industrial, Online, Heavy Duty, 2 Wheel, Marine and others. Collaborating with wider Sales & Marketing leads to grow national sales & marketing figures.
  • Reviewing and assessing business performance to redirect activities and identify where interventions are required.
  • Leading the UK sales team and working alongside the Managing Director and local Marketing team to activate the brand throughout the firm’s strategy.
  • Make sure that all aspects of the sales cycle are delivered.
  • Follow up on leads together with the sales team in order to perform against the established targets.
  • Ensure the achievement and monitoring of commercial objectives, and propose action plans to boost performance.
  • Supervise the development and daily sales task of the team.
  • Monitor the commercial activity and set the prices and sales conditions of the products



  • Creative, innovative and ability able to influence and directly communicate with a diverse audience, including senior leadership.
  • At least 5 years of of commercial experience in a similar position in the lubricants or automotive sector
  • Leadership skills
  • Experience of developing and implementing strategy
  • Sound business understanding as well as being commercially and risk aware
  • Willing for extensive travel across the UK
  • Ability to work from home with a level of flexibility to come into the office when required.
